Printing

Louisa has vast experience working across a broad range of fabric bases including some of the more challenging textiles such as leather, lycra, silks and wool. This knowledge is built on over 20 years experience working with different mediums. The Textile Workshop can screen print using foiling, metallics, acids and standard printing inks.

Project: Pistol
Louisa worked alongside Costume Designer Liza Bracey to recreate the costumes worn by The Sex Pistols and Vivienne Westwood. Using the original garments for reference we recreated the artwork, produced screens and colour matched to reproduce the costumes.

Project: Mary Queen of Scots

Working with Alexandra Burn, Louisa’s brief was to develop print techniques which would recreate 16th Century ‘Black Work’ embroidery and to emphasise the Designer’s vision for a ghost like quality to the fabric.

Project: Beauty & The Beast

Working with Jacqueline Durran, Louisa colour matched and screen printed a chintz design which was embroidered and used for the corset worn by Emma Watson.
